Chinese tea was introduced into Nepal in the 19th century, and tea-growing thus began in Ilam, east Nepal, gradually developing into a tea industry that is "small but beautiful".

On the occasion of Yunnan Mt. Jingmai’s old tea groves ascending to the UNESCO world heritage list, we interviewed Yubaraj Adhikari, executive chairman of Nepal Airlines Corporation.

Yubaraj shared with us his view on the tea custom in Ilam -- his hometown, as well as on the friendly exchanges between Nepal and China.

Congratulations to Mt. Jingmai: Tea aroma, beauty shared
