Yunnan eyes more cooperation with NE Thailand

Yunnan province will work with the northeastern Thai provinces for more mutually-beneficial cooperation in connectivity, economy, investment, and cultural exchanges, said Yunnan governor Wang Yubo.
Wang said this when meeting with the visiting Thai delegation on July 5 in central Yunnan’s Kunming city, adding such cooperation will be conducive to construction of the China-Thailand community with a shared future.
Beginning with a warm welcome to the Thai delegation, the governor also introduced Yunnan's economic and social development, and invited the Thai businesses to the upcoming 7th China-South Asia Exposition and 27th Kunming Export and Import Commodities Fair.

The Thai delegation consists of governors and vice governors of ten northeastern Thai provinces.
On behalf of the Thai provinces, Ubon Ratchathani governor Chonlatee Yangtrong said that through the visit to Yunnan, they have personally felt the momentum and vitality in provincial development.
Chonlatee hoped this visit could be a new start for the two sides to deepen friendship, enhance mutual trust, work together for more results in various cooperation, and increase the well-being of the people in Thailand and Yunnan.
