Coffee competition begins in Pu’er

The 2022 Best of Yunnan Green Coffee Competition kicked off on June 10 in southwest Yunnan’s Pu'er city.

Themed as "I speak for Yunnan coffee", this competition invited in a total of 276 coffee tasters from 24 cities across the country to serve as judges. 120 teams from 6 Yunnan’s coffee-growing areas participated in this event.

In the following three days, 10 criteria will be set forth for evaluation, and the judges will score the coffees as per their aroma, flavor, aftertaste, acidity, sweetness and so on.

It is the seventh Green Bean Competition in Yunnan and the tenth for Pu’er, which has not only helped present Yunnan coffee to the world, but also boosted the coffee industry.
