The first Yuandao-Tianyuefu Women's Top-Spinning Tournament was held in Jinggu county, southwest of Yunnan’s Pu'er city from June 10 to June 11, the latter being Chinese Cultural and Natural Heritage Day.
The Yi, Dai and Hani ethnic areas of Jinggu county are said to be cradles of the top-whipping game in Pu'er. The traditional game was listed as a national heritage in 2021.
