2022 CITM: Yunnan to be more beautiful by 2024

Located in southwest China, Yunnan province is inviting with its lush hills and lucid waters.

With unique ecology, geology, climate and resources, Yunnan has been a major tourism province in China and a key destination for tourists from south and southeast Asian countries.

According to the newly released "Three-Year Actions for Yunnan to Be Strong Province in Industries (2022-2024)",

Yunnan will soon upgrade the cultural tourism and rehabilitation services, designing world-class tourist and health products and building a healthy living destination for tourists around the world.

By 2024, Yunnan cultural tourism and rehabilitation services will reach around 1.2 trillion yuan, with the added value making up 8% of provincial GDP.

In the days to come, Yunnan cultural tourism and rehabilitation services will be characteristic of the following points.

First: All-for-One

Provincial tourism will be fused into agriculture, sports, health, culture, innovation, education, manufacturing and the Internet, so as to turn Yunnan into a national example for holistic tourism.

Second: Upgrade

The quality of tourist services will be improved to upgrade competitiveness in the market. Tourist complaints will be dealt with timely, regulating the tourist market and improving the consumption environment.

Third: Innovation

Yunnan will design new tourist products for leisure and vacation, focusing on physical health and psychological comfort, creating new business modes that feature year-round health living, ethnic cultures, popular sciences, research-based tourism, and outdoor sports.

Fourth: Reform

Market-oriented reform will be carried forward for state-owned tourism firms, with incentive mechanisms improved. Policies conducive to border tourism will be made, tourism cooperation with neighboring countries innovated.

The 2022 CITM will take place in Kunming, Yunnan province from July 22 to 24.

The 2022 CITM exhibition totals 70,000 square meters, where 2,500 stands will be set up by exhibitors from 70 plus countries and regions. They will join the event physically or virtually, including over 200 tourist businesses from 31 Chinese provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.
