2022 CITM: Seek truth and beauty in Dali,Lijiang

The 2022 China International Travel Mart (CITM) will be held in Kunming, Yunnan province from July 22 to 24.

Starting on July 13, the CITM news releases will focus on the 16 prefectures and cities around Yunnan, presenting their natural beauty, folk customs and growth in cultural tourism.

Today, let’s take a closer look at Dali Bai autonomous prefecture and Lijiang city in west Yunnan.

The two places feature beauties in landscapes, ethnic cultures and more.

Scenic, cultural beauty in Dali

Dali Bai autonomous prefecture is known as "a polis of literature" and “an ancient capital at the crossroad of Asian cultures".

With sound ecology and mild climate, it has been a destination for tourists worldwide.

Over the years, Dali has carried out 300 plus tourism projects, with a gross investment of over 20 billion yuan.

Hotels: Overseas Chinese Town, Sunac and others investors have programs in progress in Dali.

It has high-end hotel branches of Hilton, Dali Int’l, Indigo and Pullman in operation. More branches of the hotels will show up in the Dali counties, and 50 eco-hotels have been built up, including one run by an American.

Parks: The Puy du Fou Dali theme park and other major projects have been signed.

Progresses have been made in establishing the Heqing silverware cultural park and Jianchuan woodcut industrial park. Marital services and other new tourist products have been designed by fusing culture into tourism.

Smart services: All the twenty 3A-level or better scenic spots in Dali have been equipped with smart services.

The Lake Erhai eco-corridor and others now have more AI elements. Night tours of Erhai Cruise, Fantasy 2099 and UAV Show were rolled out one after another.

Tourists cherish cultures in Lijiang

Thriving on culture and known for tourism, Lijiang is a charm city on the Southern Silk Road and the Ancient Tea-Horse Road.

Lijiang is a famed Chinese city for its history and culture, an world-class city excellent in living environment, and a most visited tourist city worldwide.

By developing cultural tourism over the years, Lijiang has made tourists from afar stay longer to cherish its cultural aspects.

Embracing the theory of all-for-one tourism, Lijiang will develop local tourism in a holistic approach, no longer limiting itself to the old town and snow mountain.
