2022 CITM: Grand travel fair opens in Kunming today

The 2022 China International Travel Mart (CITM) opened in Kunming, Yunnan province on July 22.

The CITM is co-sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Chinese Civil Aviation Administration and Yunnan Provincial People's Government.

The theme is "Intelligent Innovation and A Shared Future -- Serving the High-Quality Development of the Tourism Industry".

The 2022 CITM has eight pavilions that cover 80,000 square meters, and exhibitors from 71 countries and regions joined the event physically or virtually.

The travel fair is highlighted as follows.

★Integrated exhibition areas. The exhibition areas put together booths, services and interactive experiences, facilitating consumers' sense of participation.

★Displaying area for museums. Present at the CITM are cultural institutions such as Palace Museum, National Museum of China, Shaanxi Provincial Museum and National Library of China.

★The new exhibition areas of "Cultural Capital of East Asia" and "Lancang-Mekong Tourism City Cooperation Alliance" were added.

★Professional forums. During the 2022 CITM, a number of tourism forums will be staged for policy guidance, industrial insights and marketing analysis.

Pavilion A3 for tourist consumption

Traveling by train has become a first choice for more tourists. Here, you can learn about railway plus tourism and intangible cultural heritages. The heritage shows are worth your watching.

Pavilion A4 for sports tourism

The sports pavilion features mini football field and basketball court.

It displays camping equipment, all-terrain vehicles and more. Don't miss the show if interested in any of these!

Pavilion A5 for healthy life

It displays distinct tourist towns for healthy lifestyles, as well as Yunnan's high-quality resources for rehabilitation services.

Pavilion A6 themed Yunnan cultural tourism

Here, you can see the tender Lijiang, the beautiful Dali, the scenic Wenshan and more. You’ll learn about tourist destinations around Yunnan, as well as the convenience from the Go-Yunnan app.

Pavilions A7 and A8 for tourism images of Chinese provinces

Highlighting the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai, the Anhui-style buildings and more, the pavilions showcase tourism features of Chinese provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities). A cultural exhibition area was also designated for national and provincial museums.

Pavilion A9 for travel services and smart tourism

A pavilion of science and technology! Here, you can experience the 5G technologies, unmanned driving, and the development of smart tourism in China.

Pavilion A10 for overseas travel trends

This is a stage for international tourism promotions, highlighting cultural tourist products from Laos, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Hungary, South Korea and others.

The CITM will open to the public on July 23-24.
