Yunnan sees travel surges in July

The travel orders in Yunnan province in July were 111% higher than those in June, and summer vacationing orders increased by 71% year on year, said a latest report by the online travel agency Ctrip.

Scenic spots across Yunnan have offered free tickets or discounts to visitors, as well as other benefits and marry-making activities.

As a result, folks were more willing to travel to the province and local tourism market showed signs of recovery. "Half of Chinese tourists are in Yunnan nowadays," some joked online.
