Mile-Mengzi fast railway to open soon

According to China Railway Kunming Group, the high-speed railway linking up the cities of Mile and Mengzi in south Yunnan began trial operation (joint debugging and dynamic tests) on Aug 24. It will open to traffic soon.

Located in Honghe Hani and Yi autonomous prefecture, the 107-kilometer line is designed at a speed of 250 kilometers per hour. When it is put into service, the Kunming-Mengzi trip will be shortened to 2 hours.

The Mile-Mengzi rail section will also be conducive to local tourism and rural revitalization.
