Baby elephants take noon nap

Sep 23,2022   17:41:06

A herd of wild Asian elephants recently gathered in Pu’er city, southwest Yunnan province. Two baby elephants were spotted taking a noon nap in the forest. Waving their ears, the adult elephants were standing nearby to protect the calves.

Protecting babies is the instinct of adult elephants. Whenever danger occurs, the elder ones will protect the younger ones.

In 2021, an Asian elephant herd had a long north-south roaming tour in Yunnan. On the way, one baby elephant slipped down the hill, and two adult elephants immediately rushed to its rescue.
