A latest publicity video titled “Colorful Yunnan -- the World’s Garden” was officially rolled out today in the artistic form of rap, presenting the Chinese province as a gorgeous and inclusive place full of vitality.
The video was released on the occasion of the Yunnan Theme Day on December 15, an event at the ongoing part two of the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15.2) in Montreal, Canada.
The publicity video highlights typical Yunnan landscapes, including the Erhai Lake, the Meili Snow Mountain, the Lancang River, the Puzhehei scenic area, the Hani terraced rice fields, and the Dongchuan red-earth land.
The picturesque province is home to red-billed gulls, green peacocks, Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys, wild Asian elephants, black-necked cranes and other animals.
Noting flowers are blooming all year round here, the video mentions Yunnan rice noodles, milk fans, wild mushrooms and other food materials that allowed locals and visitors to enjoy tasty dishes.
The video also touches upon Yunnan’s traditional lantern shows, the left-foot dance, the Midu folk songs and other ethnic art forms, while telling local changes in transport facilities: from the Ancient Tea-Horse Road to the modern China-Laos Railway.
