Go Deep in Lijiang: Geminids light up the sky

A Geminid meteor shower reached its peak on the night of December 14 in NW Yunnan’s Lijiang.

The Geminids are considered to be one of the most spectacular meteor showers of the year and the best time to watch the sight was at 21 PM on December 14 to just before dawn on December 15, when the maximum number of meteors per hour reached 150.

With high altitude, thin air, and free from light pollution, Lijiang has perfect conditions for star-watching, making it a popular destination amongto star watchers.
