Go Deep in Lijiang: Camping at Mt. Laojun
Located between the Jinsha River (Yangtze) and the Lancang River (Mekong) sections in northwest Yunnan’s Lijiang city, the Laojun Mountain is a mysterious place. It boasts the Danxia landform, alpine forests, rare animals and plants, and multi-ethnic customs.
Because of the complex and precipitous terrain of the valley, the sun appears to be going up and down among three peaks, creating a spectacle of the sun rising and setting three times a day. At night, the moon and stars shine bright, make Laojun an excellent place for stargazing.
The Anqini campground was built deep in the Nomadi Valley where the tents scattered in the mountains. At night, campers can enjoy the shining stars in the sky at an altitude of 3,000 meters. Walking under the sky, campers are wont to indulge themselves in the beauty of nature.
