Mangshi: Ripe fruits distributed to citizens free

As the fruits planted on the streets of Mangshi were ripe recently, staff workers at local departments picked 44 tons of jackfruits and mangoes and distributed them to citizens and tourists for free.

Located in the west of Yunnan province, Mangshi is the central town of Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous prefecture, and it has been praised as the "city of flowers and fruits" thanks to its tropical climate.

Every July and August, the city streets are lined with appealing jackfruit, mango, longan, grapefruit and others.

For years, Mangshi has offered the roadside ripe fruits to tourists and passersby, as well as those in need.
