Single-string instrument of Wa people

The Wa people enjoy playing a single-string instrument that looks like the traditional Chinese Erhu. In July, it was listed as a intangible cultural heritage in Yunnan province.

With its body made into different sizes, thebowed instrument is a typical dailyitem of the Wa people in Ximeng county, Pu’er city.
