A new Phayre's leaf monkey cub was recently seen playing with his mother by a monitoring technician at the Xiaohei Mountain nature reserve in Longling county, southwest Yunnan’s Baoshan city, making it the seventh monkey cub observed in the reserve in 2022.
The Phayre's langur monkey is a first-level nationally protected wild animal. Currently, 350 phayre's langurs in 10 families are living in the Mt. Xiaohei nature reserve.
