During the just-concluded Yunnan “Two Sessions”(referring to the first session of the 14th Yunnan Provincial People's Congress and the first session of the 13th Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference), deputies to Yunnan Provincial People's Congress (YPPC) and CPPCC Yunnan members provided advice for Yunnan’s high-quality leapfrog development, conveying the people's inner voices and reflecting the changes and growth of all walks of life in Yunnan.

Zoujie, a member of the Yunnan Committee of CPPCC and the chairman of Lijiang Huaping Mangguo Development Company, has been striving to promote local mangos to the national and overseas markets over the past 14 years.

Huaping county is the core producing area of high-quality late-maturing mangos. Mango planting areas in Huaping now total 30,000 hectares. Guinness World Records even certified one of the planting gardens measuring 16.66 km²as the "largest mango plantation".

Zou's company has provided approximately 10,000 job opportunities in planting, production, processing, and selling. "Fruit farmers can now earn a good living. As the mango industry grows, efforts will be made to improve ecological cultivation and product quality, thereby advancing the green and sustainable development of the mango industry," said Zou.

"As a private enterprise, we continue to face challenges in expanding our business. So we urgently need favors from government agencies, banks, and scientific research institutions," said Zou. In this year's two sessions, she proposed to "assist agricultural enterprises in overcoming difficulties by developing leading agricultural enterprises."

Next, Zou’s company will increase investment in the infrastructure of deep mango processing and cold chain logistics to improve the fine processing level. “We hope the government and related departments will increase support for leading local agricultural enterprises and reduce enterprises’ operating costs, as well as the threshold for loans,” Zou said.
