During the Spring Festival holiday, Yunnan promoted the deep integration of online and offline cultural-tourist consumption, improving cultural products and services to quickly recover the cultural and tourism sector.
After a three-year pause, folks in Laodabao village, southwest Yunnan’s Lancang Lahu autonomous county, resumed their performance of traditional ethnic dancing and songs. The live show drew nearly 5,000 visitors from Jan 24 to 26.
"I didn't expect our performances are so welcomed by the audience, whose number is several times more than that of the previous year," said Li Naluo, vice chair of the Laodabao Happy Lahu Performing Company, adding they will invite in more tourists with the unique Lahu songs and dance.
Park 1903, one of the popular shopping malls in Kunming, was also crowded with visitors. The Spring Festival-themed fair was highlighted by more than 30 funny and fashionable booths, including intangible cultural handicrafts, folk-custom experience, time-honored products and so on. The fair was the largest one ever held in Park 1903 and drew crowds of visitors.
"There were a lot of cars coming here from other cities during the holiday; restaurants and shops were open all day; exhibitions and fairs were overwhelmed," said Li Bingnan, a Park 1903 staff. Li added he spent the Spring Festival working overtime, sharing the joy and happiness in the bustling business district.
