Yunnan to produce 100,000 tons of walnut oil yearly

The capacity of walnut oil production in Yunnan province will soon surpass 100,000 tons annually.

Yunnan currently has over 16 walnut oil processing enterprises with an annual output of more than 1,000 tons. Besides, five production lines totaling over 1,000 tons of output are being built or to be built.

Walnuts, also known as "oil depots on trees," are a major source of woody oil in China. Yunnan walnut planting area and production rank first among Chinese provinces.
