The cross-border passenger trains on the China-Laos Railway have been a hit since mid-April. According to China Railway Kunming Group, the D887 train from Kunming to Vientiane was fully occupied in the first three days of the holiday.

During the holiday, the Ruili trading zone near the China-Myanmar border was crowded with buyers and visitors. "Not only can I take photos at the border gate, but I can also enjoy the benefits of duty-free shopping," said Li Jiang, a tourist from Yunnan’s neighboring Guizhou province.
