Go Deep in Lijiang: Artists light up life in art town

Lying at the foot of Yulong Snow Mountain in northwest Yunnan’s Lijiang, Snow Mountain Art Town, also known as COART Village, is a resort where artists live and create. With its construction started in 2012, COART Village was put into operation in 2016, and it has undertaken a great number of art activities, which attracted wide attention from all walks of life.

Since 2020, more than 50 domestic and foreign artists have settled in the art village. At present, about 20 artists live and create here permanently. In addition, the international school of Snow Mountain Art Village has also brought in teachers from world-renowned universities to teach here.

On the occasion of art events, many artists gathered here and lighted up their lives with art, making cultural tourism glow with new vitality.
