Go Deep in Lijiang: Explore “hometown of sun”

Located between Jinsha River(upper reach of the Yangtze) and Lancang River (upper reach of the Mekong) Lijiang Laojun Mountain Scenic Area belongs to the core area of the Three Parallel Rivers --a UNESCO heritage. Locals call this canyon Nomadi, which means "hometown of the sun".

High altitude createdthe magical Danxia land features. Because the surface of red sandstone is cracked, weathering and erosion have taken place in the cracks, forming some patterns that look like the back of a turtle.

In addition, the special Danxia landscape in the area creates a wonderful sight where the sun seems to rise and fall three times a day.
