JD.COM opens Myanmar pavilion in Dali

The Chinese e-commerce giant JD.COM opened on June 25 a Myanmar National Pavilion in west Yunnan’s Dali Bai autonomous prefecture, allowing Chinese consumers to access authentic Myanmar goods directly.

Authorized by the Embassy of Myanmar in China, the pavilion is the first of its kind by JD.COM in Yunnan province. Using the JD.COM advantages in technology, online marketing, logistics and supply chain, the shopping pavilion will boost sales of Myanmar cultural and tourist products.

At present, the pavilion sells more than 1,000 kinds of Myanmar goods, covering sea food, wine, jewelry, produce and others.

Myanmar official data showed that in the fiscal year of 2022-2023, China-Myanmar exports reached 3.833 billion US dollars, with bilateral imports adding up to 5.446 billion US dollars. Myanmar is also Yunnan’s largest trading partner, and bilateral trade reached 49.44 billion RMB in 2022, up 6%.
