The Sandieshui banquet, which features three rounds of dishes, is a grand feast for Naxi folks in Lijiang. It is the highest level of hospitality extended to guests.

The banquet holds unique cultural significance. The first round serves Sixi tea, preserved plums and desserts, symbolizing sweetness and good fortune.

The second-round dishes are local wild vegetables, bean products, dried yak meat, and other cold dishes, with flavors being spicy, savory, or crispy. Accompanied by homemade brewed wine, this round represents auspiciousness and family reunion.The third round mainly serves the Naxi style copper hotpot, incorporating fresh local ingredients in season. Stewed and boiled hot dishes are served, symbolizing prosperity and abundance.
