Yunnan stages Mid-Autumn Festival gala in Yangon

2023 Mid-Autumn Festival gala in Yangon, Myanmar

An international Mid-Autumn Festival gala was held in Yangon, Myanmar on the evening of September 28. More than 50 artists from China and Myanmar staged their traditional cultures with exquisite artistic skills, telling the ever-lasting paukphaw friendship between the two countries.

Zeng Yan, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, and Cao Jing, Chargé d 'affaires and minister counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, delivered speeches at the cultural event, which was attended by some 1,000 representatives from Myanmar and Yunnan province.

As part of the 2023 Mid-Autumn Festival cultural exchange activities in Myanmar, the gala is hosted by the Information Office of Yunnan Provincial People's Government and the Yunnan Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

Before the gala, the Yunnan side also staged a photo exhibition at the China Cultural Center in Yangon, Myanmar, showcasing the provincial beauty in ecology, culture and openness. The exhibition lasted until October 1, the Chinese National Day.
