China, Laos finish producing short film

Production of the 10-episode short film series "Beyond Mountains and Rivers," co-produced by young directors from China and Laos, has just come to an end.

Each episode of the film tells a story of ordinary people, such as Lao women mechanics, Lao girls obsessed with Chinese martial art, Lao Chinese, Young Chinese running Lao restaurants, Shanghai weavers who learn Lao textile skills, medical workers at the China-Laos border, and China-Laos couples.

The film’s episodes are titled "Home," "Road," "Weave," "Root," "Taste," "Dream," "Music," "Image," "Aid" and "Love." They jointly present the China-Laos Railway as the road to friendship and happiness, bringing changes and hope for people in the two countries.
