Yunnan creates world’s 1st robot for highland tea-picking

Professor Wang Baijuan, who leads her science research team in Yunnan Agriculture University, has recently succeeded in inventing a robot that can pick and sort out fresh tea leaves in the highland and mountainous areas.

For the future innovation, Wang said that the team will improve the robot according to the weather of Yunnan tea plantations, so that it work well in the tea mountains on foggy days. And the team is going to add more arms to the tea picker for more efficiency.
