EXIM signs agreement with Yunnan for pivot building

The Export-Import Bank of China (EXIM) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the People's Government of Yunnan Province on June 30, in a bid to aid Yunnan in building itself into China's pivot of opening up to South and Southeast Asia.
The two sides exchanged views on development along the China-Laos railway, foreign investment and trade, infrastructure, energy resources, advanced manufacturing and others. The bank helps Yunnan in the BRI projects and the land-sea trade corridor to the Indian Ocean.

According to the agreement, the two sides will establish a long-term strategic cooperative relationship, maximizing the role of policy financial institutions in open economy, achieving mutual benefit and common development, and creating a new landscape of opening-up and regional cooperation.
The Yunnan branch of China EXIM Bank will give full play to policy finance in serving provincial socioeconomic development, so as to fulfill high-quality development.
