China builds 8,000 digital workshops, AI factories

Over 8,000 digital workshops and intelligent factories have been built across China over the years, and 2,500 of then are classified as maturity level two or higher in their Model of Maturity for Intelligent Manufacturing Capabilities, indicating that the factories have basically completed their digital transformation.
Furthermore, 209 of these factories have achieved an internationally advanced level in intelligent manufacturing, with an average reduction in product development cycles of 20.7% and an average increase in production efficiency of 34.8%, according to the press conference held by the State Council Information Office of China on July19.
