Yunnan merchants have 1st assembly in Kunming
The First Yunnan Merchants Conference is held in central Yunnan’s Kunming city on July 22.
The First Yunnan Merchants Conference was held in central Yunnan’s Kunming city on July 22, inviting in 200 representatives of Yunnan entrepreneurs from home and abroad. With the topics focusing on hometown sentiment and Yunnan’s future development, the conference is hosted by the CPPCC Yunnan Provincial Committee.
"Time awaits no one, and we will seize the opportunity to contribute to Yunnan's economic and social development!" said Cao Ronggen, chairman of Kunming International Flower Auction Trading Center, who spoke on behalf of Yunnan entrepreneurs at the event.
Since ancient times, Yunnan merchants have conducted business all over the world. With hometown sentiment and patriotism on their mind, the Yunnan traders have been open-minded and inclusive, enriching Yunnan province and contributing to global economy.
Representatives of the Yunnan merchants jointly issued the "Initiative of Yunnan entrepreneurs" at the conference, stressing patriotism, innovation, entrepreneurship, business code and conduct, and social responsibility. They are expected to contribute to rural revitalization, Yunnan's opening-up to south and southeast Asia, and the Belt and Road cooperation.
