Kunming-Vientiane int’l train trip cut by 64 minutes
Starting on July 25, the Kunming-Vientiane trip by the D887/8 international passenger trains has been shortened from 10 hours and 30 minutes to 9 hours and 26 minutes, saving 64 minutes for travelers.

Customs clearance at the China-Laos border gates of Mohan and Boten used to last for over 3 hours, but now it just takes 2 hours for passengers to finish the customs procedures, thanks to improved facilities and departmental coordination.
Since they were launched on April 13, the international passenger trains on China-Laos Railway have handled some 42,000 travelers from 49 countries and regions.
