Yunnan athletes win 2 golds, 3 silvers at Hangzhou Asiad
Yunnan dragon-boat racer Wang Li wins a gold medal for China on October 4.
Wang Li, a junior dragon-boat racer from Yunnan province, took the lead in winning a gold medal for China in the Women's Dragon Boat 200m Grand Final at the 19th Asian Games in east China's Zhejiang Province on October 4. This is the second gold won by Yunnan athletes at the Asian Games.

Wang Li and her teammates won the championship in 53.8 seconds. Indonesia and Thailand took the silver and the bronze respectively. "It’s a good start for us to get gold today. I’m grateful to Yunnan Province Sports Bureau and Songmao Training Base for giving me the opportunity to compete for the country," said Wang at the victory.

While Ke Jie, a champion Go player from the Yunnan team, helped in securing a silver medal at the men's Go team final of Hangzhou Asian Games on October 3, and it is the third silver that Yunnan athletes contributed to the Chinese team. The gold was taken by Go players from South Korea.
