Music on the Silk Road| 3rd BRI event on music education kicks off
The Third Music Education Alliance Across the “Belt and Road” Conference kicks off in Beijing on Oct. 15. The conference will be held in two locations: Beijing and Yunnan.
The event, co-hosted by the Central Conservatory of Music and the Publicity Department of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, is themed on “excellent Silk Road culture for colorful modern civilization.”
More than 100 participants, including deans, scholars, young composers, and artists from over 50 member institutions, will gather to discuss and share their visions on the future.

In 2017, the Central Conservatory of Music took the lead in establishing the "Belt and Road" Music Education Alliance, which was recognized as one of the 270 achievements of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) by the Chinese government.
The alliance has organized two sessions of conference in 2017 and 2019, emphasizing the pivotal role of music education in advancing cultural exchanges among the BRI countries.
The alliance contributes to enhancing cultural exchanges among people from different countries through diverse activities.
