1.83 trillion yuan worth of products exported worldwide
China's total cross-border e-commerce import and export volume reached 2.38 trillion yuan in 2023, marking a 15.6% increase.
Notably, exports amounted to 1.83 trillion yuan, demonstrating a significant growth of 19.6%, while imports stood at 548.3 billion yuan, reflecting a 3.9% increase.
Amid the global trade uncertainties and sluggish conditions, cross-border e-commerce is providing consumers worldwide with more cost-effective products, said Zhu Siqiao, associate researcher at the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation.
Zhu added that with its flexible, efficient, and resilient supply chains, the cross-border e-commerce has also injected new impetus into global trade.
