Yunnan's GDP up by 4.4% in 2023

Yunnan's provincial GDP increased by 4.4% in 2023, with the total economic output of the province reaching a historic high of 3 trillion yuan, according to a government work report delivered at a key session.

The report was delivered by Yunnan governor Wang Yubo at the 2nd session of the 14th Yunnan Provincial People's Congress, the province's legislature, which opened on January 24 morning in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province.

The added value of industries above designated size went up by 5.2%, the total retail sales of social consumer goods grew by 6.7%, provincial general public budget revenue soared by 10.3%, and the per capita disposable income of residents increased by 5.5%, said the report.
