As the 7th CSA Expo (China-South Asia Exposition) is about to kick off on Aug.16, Yunnan Int’l Communication Center for S&SE Asia invited Dr. Htike Lwin Ko from Myanmar to the pavilions.

"I believe that as the education cooperation between Thailand and China carries on, more knowledge will be created to facilitate sub-regional integration and development," Sirisak Laochankham said.

Julian Clarke, a program specialist from the Mekong Institute, stresses that Yunnan's technical advancement in infrastructure and strong voice in policy discussions will contribute to the economic and social well-beings of the entire sub-region.

Than Tha Aung is a program coodinator of the Mekong Institute. Coming from Myanmar, she believes that as the sub-regional cooperation deepens, Myanmar will share a brighter future with China.

“We would love to carry on and expand our exchanges with Yunnan at all levels and in all fields. I sincerely hope that our friendship will be further strengthened and the people of Malaysia and Yunnan can be closer to each other,” he concluded.

With a higher level of Yunnan’s opening-up, Yunnan merchants are expected to achieve better development through international collaboration. Some of them shared their views at the conference.
